It gradually improves the appearance and texture of your skin with Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHA): Mandelic acid, Salicylic acid or Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHA) such as Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid or specially designed mixtures. They work to gently exfoliate congested skin, dissolve sebum and cellular debris, while accelerating collagen and elastin production, activates cellular function, increases circulation, fades discoloration, while reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Allowing your skin to feel fresh, clean, and beautifully enhanced and renewed. For optimal results, it is recommended that thees treatments be performed in a series of 6 to 8. The down time of the procedure depends on type of chemical peel received and the skin condition. Before the procedure - Week prior to Chemical Peel avoid: waxing, threading, shaving of the area, indoor or outdoor tanning - Stop using: topical retinol products or similar chemical exfoliators, - Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant or nursing, or taking any medications. Normal Post-Peel Reactions: - Opaque or powdery white skin - Swelling, inflammation, redness or sensitivity - Gradual darkening of the skin in the treated area (the skin will shed) - Flaking, crusting, scabbing or in rare instances oozing Note that different peels in varying strengths may produce different results from no visible irritation to significant redness and swelling. Also note that the results of a peel may vary from person to person. Each individual has unique skin. Lifestyle, stress, season and even weather can affect the way the skin reacts to a peel. Post care - If you had self-neutralizing Chemical Peel, do not wash face after chemical peel for 8 hours - Wash you face with like warm water, avoid hot water, hot shower or bathtubs - Avoid direct sun exposure and indoor or outdoor tanning for 7 days after chemical peel and use sun protection with SPF at least 30 and reapply it every 3 hours - Do not apply skin products with alcohol, acids, Retin-A, Hydroquinone and other harsh ingredients - Never pull the shedding skin if it is firmly attached and do not scratch at your skin after the peel or during the shedding process - Do not use any mechanical or chemical exfoliators, including scrubs, brushes, enzyme products, acids, or retinol products 2 weeks after peel - Do not resume shaving, waxing, or threading until shedding has commenced - For the next week follow simple and gentle skincare routine: in the morning use neutral Face Wash and then Sunscreen; during the day reapply Sunscreen, apply Moisturizer if skin feels tight; in the evening use neutral Face Wash and apply Moisturizer |
